TradeTally is for UK sole trader tradespeople: plumbers, electricians, builders, roofers, carpenters, plasterers, painters, decorators, gas engineers, handymen.
It suits people who work on site, not behind a desk. Raise an invoice in the van, snap a receipt before it gets lost, check who owes you from your phone.
It's not a good fit for: VAT-registered businesses with complex books, limited companies with employees, or anyone who needs payroll.
Pricing
Starter is free with up to 2 invoices per month and unlimited manual expense records. No card is required to sign up.
Professional is £12/month, or £120/year on annual billing. It includes unlimited invoices and quotes, unlimited manual expense records, receipt photo scanning included, SA103F-ready export and the accountant link.
Every new account gets 14 days of Professional access without a card. If you do not subscribe, it moves to Starter automatically.

TradeTally is built by Simon Holyland, a plasterer who still works on site.
A few years back, the invoicing and tax admin was the worst part of the week. Shoe-box receipts, a spreadsheet that never quite worked and a tax return that always crept up on me. The software aimed at tradespeople felt like it was built for accountants in offices, not for someone finishing a ceiling at 4pm who needs to send an invoice from the van before the traffic gets bad.
So I built the tool I wanted: invoices you can raise on site, receipts you photograph before they get lost and figures that line up with the SA103F at tax time. Everything is made around how a sole trader actually works, because that is still how I work.
TradeTally is a one-person, UK-based operation. There is no call centre and no account manager. It is just me, a van and software that handles the admin so you can get back to the job.
