Software for people who work with their hands

We built TradeTally because invoicing and job costs should not eat the evening after a long day on site. You deserve tools that feel like part of the job—not a second career in finance.

What we kept hearing

Paper receipts in trucks. Invoices retyped from notes. No single place that said what was billed, what landed in the bank, and what the job actually cost. Generic accounting tools were either too heavy or skipped field workflows entirely.

Rough week, typical trade business

  • Hours on quotes and re-keying line items
  • Chasing payment without a clear status
  • Margin guessed instead of measured
  • Year-end scramble to reconstruct what happened

What we focused on

  • Fewer tools

Customers, invoices, quotes, and expenses live together.

  • Field-first flows

Fast capture so you can log and move on.

  • Plain language

No jargon wall between you and your numbers.

  • Exports

When someone else needs the file, you can send it.

What we are building

A calm place to run the business side of a trade: who owes what, what you spent, and whether the job was worth it. We ship improvements in small steps and care more about reliability than hype.

How we work

Respect your time

Short flows, obvious screens, no dark patterns to trap you in a plan you do not want.

Solve real jobs

We prioritize what shows up in support and on site—not feature bingo for a slide deck.

Iterate

Shipping beats perfection. We would rather fix the rough edge you report than wait for imaginary completeness.

Principles

  • Users first

If it confuses someone on a job site, we rethink it.

  • Data care

Security and privacy are defaults, not a marketing bullet afterthought.

  • Craft

Polish in the details: tables that line up, copy that sounds human.

  • Straight dealing

Pricing and limits in plain text. No fake countdowns.
